EMSCULPT NEO®

Even after a person has lost weight, stubborn fat deposits and lax muscles can prevent them from achieving their desired figure. Fortunately, for our Northern Virginia medical spa patients who seek a leaner look, Dr. Larry Lickstein and the team offer body sculpting with EMSCULPT NEO, a non-surgical body contouring treatment that can help them achieve a more toned abdomen, slimmer sides, and better backside definition.

Benefits of EMSCULPT NEO

EMSCULPT NEO helps our patients achieve not only a more streamlined silhouette, but also increased muscle tone and definition that could not previously be attained with a non-invasive treatment. Benefits of this remarkable body contouring treatment include:

  • Fully non-invasive treatment
  • Buttocks that are higher, tighter, and more sculpted
  • Thighs that are more shapely and firm
  • Calves that are toned
  • Upper arms that are slimmer and more defined
  • Abdominal muscles that are stronger and more toned
  • Increased core strength

What is EMSCULPT NEO?

EMSCULPT NEO is the only body contouring treatment available that both builds muscle and eliminates fat in fast, 30-minute sessions. This system employs radiofrequency (RF) to raise the temperature of the muscles by several degrees, initiating apoptosis (a form of programmed cell death) in fat that permanently damages fat cells so that they can be expelled from the body. At the same time, HIFEM® (High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic Energy) initiates a series of thousands of strong muscle contractions—much more than you can achieve in a workout—to tone and strengthen muscles. At Elle Aesthetic Arts, we employ two EMSCULPT NEO applicators: a larger applicator for abdomen, thighs, and buttocks and a smaller applicator that is perfect for targeting the arms and calves.1

EMSCULPT NEO Treatment: What to Expect

Preparing for EMSCULPT NEO

There is no preparation you need to do prior to your EMSCULPT NEO treatment session. Simply arrive at our medical spa wearing comfortable clothes and ready to relax for your roughly 30-minute session.

The EMSCULPT NEO Treatment Experience

EMSCULPT NEO is totally non-invasive, and no anesthesia or numbing is required prior to treatment. You will simply relax as your practitioner attaches EMSCULPT NEO panels to the treatment area. The panels will slowly increase the muscle temperature, then initiate HIFEM energy patterns to induce rapid muscle contractions (up to 20, 000 contractions per session). You can expect to feel warmth and the feeling of an intensive workout, but pain will not be part of your EMSCULPT NEO experience.

Recovery After EMSCULPT NEO

EMSCULPT NEO treatment requires no downtime and no recovery. You may experience some soreness after treatment, as you would after an intense workout, but will be able to return to your normal activities immediately.

EMSCULPT NEO Results

The majority of our patients see a marked improvement in muscle definition and tone about 4-6 weeks after treatment, though you may be able to begin to see benefits of EMSCULPT NEO in as little as 2 weeks. Final results are visible after 3 months. In a recent clinical study, patients showed an average fat thickness reduction of 30.8% just 3 months after treatment with EMSCULPT NEO.2

Frequently Asked Questions About EMSCULPT NEO

  • Can EMSCULPT NEO be combined with other procedures?

Yes. Many of our patients realize enhanced body contouring results when EMSCULPT NEO is paired with traditional surgical body contouring procedures such as a tummy tuck, liposuction, or arm lift. Traditional body contouring surgery addresses excess skin, stubborn fat, or both. By following this with EMSCULPT NEO, enhanced musculature can be revealed for an even more toned, defined appearance.

  • How many EMSCULPT NEO sessions will I need?

We recommend that patients undergo at least 4 EMSCULPT NEO treatments, spaced a few days apart, to achieve optimal results. Results last for up to 6 months.

  • Who is a candidate for EMSCULPT NEO?

EMSCULPT NEO is non-invasive and can benefit both men and women. Ideal candidates for this treatment are:

    • In good overall health
    • Struggling to lose those last few pounds or achieve muscle definition
    • Not pregnant or nursing
    • Not obese
  • Is treatment with EMSCULPT NEO painful?

EMSCULPT NEO is not painful at all. Patients report feeling increased warmth at the treatment area as well as the sensation of a vigorous workout.

  • Is EMSCULPT NEO safe?

Yes. EMSCULPT NEO has been approved by the FDA to contour the abdomen, thighs, buttocks, arms, and calves with no serious side effects reported.
